Key Duties/Responsibilities

• Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and service to upkeep all equipment and to avoid breakdown.
• Perform preventive maintenance and completes the turn-over quickly and efficiently in order to satisfy and meet the Guest needs.
• Respond to breakdowns of equipment and being available in case of emergency and applying the appropriate action as per Hotel policy and standards.
• Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests and colleagues health and safety, as well as protect and conserve the environment.
• Comply with the hotel environmental, health and safety policies and procedures
• Wear the required Personal Protection Equipment carrying out and task or duty that has a risk of injury.
• Immediately reporting any occurrence or situation that he feels is dangerous or has the potential to cause business interruption to the Manager on Duty.
• Installs Kitchen electrical and gas appliances in compliance with the safety standards.
• Maintain and repairs kitchen, equipment and related accessories.
• Install, maintain & repair Audio Visual equipment used in the property.
• Trouble shoot and repair gas ovens, burners and related equipment accessories.
• Install trouble shoot and repair gas supplies and related accessories and equipment.
• Install maintain, and repair Laundry equipment.
• Keep a proper record of all the faults, services, change in parts & any irregularities.
• Observe personnel safety, safety of co-workers and hygiene in performing the duty.
• Work in a manner to preserve the cleanliness of the environment.
• Prepare list of spare parts and accessories required sustain proper uninterrupted working of the Kitchen and laundry & AV equipment.
• Manage maintenance calls promptly and perform the task assigned with maximum safety and reliability.

· Report to Supervisor of the daily progress and pending work if any

· Be available to work in the event of a resort emergency.

• Assist in Energy Conservation by ensure all machines are cleaned, and maintained to the highest standard. Turning off all unnecessary equipment and reporting leaks and waste energy situations.
• Assist the Engineering Department in rectifying all defects and responding to all breakdown requests in the most efficient and professional manner possible.
• Whenever necessary participate and fulfill any other duties as assigned by your immediate supervisor.
