Job Description:
Key Duties/Responsibilities
- Report for duty on time and in correct uniform paying attention to personal hygiene and grooming.
Ensure the safety and maintenance of the boat, pontoon or dhoni and report any defects to the Captain immediately and Assisting the captain with administrative and safety duties.
- Cleanliness of vessel wash downs stainless polishing and organizing and managing maintenance projects by captain - sanding and taping up for varnishing or painting filling etc.
- Assisting the captain with navigation, passage planning and fulfilling duty schedule.
- Maintenance and inventory of equipment understanding Navigation.
- Ultimate safety for engine operation and doing preventive maintenance.
- Be familiar with boat maintenance, operations and system line handling, tender driving, navigation, safety trips.
- Ensure the boat, pontoon or dhoni is kept clean and tidy at all times.
- Coordinate with other crew members performing activities such as loading and unloading baggages, steering vessels, operating engines, and operating, maintaining, and repairing boat equipment.
- Maintain boats and equipment on board, such as engines, winches, navigational systems, fire extinguishers, and life preservers.
- Responsible for deep cleaning after finishing of each trip.
- Doing and completing daily boat check list. After completing the check, the list and if found any fault, should inform immediately to direct manager/supervisor.
- Assisting the captain for boat is parking.
- Maintenance and inventory of equipments.
- Checking fuel stock of the boat to keep the minimum fuel for any emergency or urgent trip.
- Able to drive the Boat whenever required in the absence of the captain.
- Maintaining all the check lists provided by the captain.
- Maintain a sense of urgency with whatever task is required. Always be ready to make any additional Trip requested by the Management Team,
- Working in different shifts (morning, afternoon and night)
- Be able to communicate with guests on board, giving them proper information and assist them whenever required.
- Ensure to use GPS and other Facilities / equipment provided by the Hotel to make sure the safety of the Boat and Guests as well as Talents when driving the boat.
- Presents for each guest arrival and departure in the jetty and assist with luggage handling.
- To maintain a positive, service orientated attitude towards guest as well
- To create predictable positive experiences that meets and/or goes beyond guest expectations.
- To report for duty as per roster, clean and tidy, wearing the correct attire and ensure that the attendance record is signed both at the beginning and the end of the shift.
- To ensure that all the reports are updated on a daily basis.
- To have a thorough knowledge about the country, the local area and attraction to provide the guests with all requested information.
- To be flexible according to business needs.
- To attend daily meetings with the Team.
- Check that any luggage or equipment is stowed safely on board.
- Assist guests and housemaster when embarking or disembarking.
- Be courteous and respectful to all passengers and report any complaints to the Boat captain/front office manager.
- Any special requests from passengers should be referred to the Boat captain/front office manager
- Carry out normal duties for securing and releasing the vessel.
- Follow instructions from the Boat captain/front office manager and the correct procedures as shown.
- Be familiar with all the safety aspects on board especially the use and wearing of life jackets.
- Do not do anything which could adversely affect the safety or wellbeing of any passengers or crew.
- Apart from speed boat maintenance, speedboat driving and jobs associated with crew responsibility, Boat crew will be responsible for luggage delivery for arrival and departure as well as villa move.

- General:
Subject to the fact that he/she may from time to time be expected to work outside normal hours in order to meet reporting deadlines and take full responsibility of the department thereby extending his/her support whenever needed.
